Our beginnings
Shawn Buckley, inspired by his dog, Simon, founded JustFoodforDogs over a decade ago with a simple mission: do right by dogs. Determined to transform canine nutrition, Shawn opened the first-ever kitchen dedicated to crafting fresh, complete, and balanced human-grade food for dogs.
Today, we remain devoted to that mission by providing the highest-quality food to support the health and happiness of dogs, driven by a decade of university-led independent research. Through innovation, transparency, and a passion for canine wellness, we have an unwavering commitment to advancing the standards of nutrition for our furry companions.

The Adoption Project
Our mission helps us pave the way for healthier, happier lives for dogs everywhere. That includes our furry friends in need of forever homes. Each purchase helps us feed dogs in our rescue partners' care.
We started The Adoption Project in 2021. Since then, we have helped feed and facilitate the adoptions of approximately 5,400 dogs and donated an estimated 43,200 meals to rescue organizations nationwide.
