Vension Squash Ingredients

Our human edible venison comes from family farms in New-Zealand that adhere to strict animal welfare code. They are free-range, grass fed and never given any hormones, antibiotics, or GMO feed. Venison is high in protein and iron but yet low in fat. It is rich in many nutrients like vitamins B12, B6, riboflavin and niacin. We purchase all of our Venison from Broadleaf, a USDA registered facility that specializes in human edible, top quality game meats.

Butternut Squash

Butternut Squash are high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. It is high in dietary fiber, vitamins A and C, omega 3 fatty acids, folate, copper, B6, niacin, pantothenic acid and potassium.

Sweet Potato

Sweet potatoes contain a unique root storage protein that have significant antioxidant capabilities and are an excellent source of vitamin A and a very good source of vitamin C and manganese. Sweet potatoes for dogs are also high in beta-caratine and a good source of copper, dietary fiber, Vitamin B6, potassium and iron.

Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are high in antioxidants such as vitamins C, E and A and are also high in omega -3 fatty acids and vitamin K, both aid in the prevent of inflammation. Brussels sprouts are high dietary fiber, manganese, iron, riboflavin, copper, and calcium.

Cranberries are considered to be one of the world’s most healthy foods. Cranberries for dogs provide an excellent source of vitamin C, a very good source of dietary fiber and a good source of vitamin K. Cranberries promote gastrointestinal health by preventing bacteria from attaching to cells and disrupting bacterial communication. They are also full of antioxidants, flavonoids and polypenols which can protect dogs against heart disease, free-radical damage, artherosclerosis (clogged arteries) and urinary tract infections.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil contains essential omega-6 fatty acids which, via prostaglandins, strengthen cell membranes and regulate every function in the body at the molecular level. Canola oil for dogs is both more common as well as more affordable than safflower oil but given the controversy surrounding canola oil and the superiority of safflower oil for dogs we believe the expense is justified.

Icelandic Premium Fish Oil

Icelandic Premium Fish Oil is sourced direct from the world’s cleanest, purest, and greenest sources. This exclusive supplement is pure, potent, natural and detoxified, and provides Omega 3 fatty acids in highly biologically available forms of EPA and DHA. It is also available for purchase to use with our DIY homemade recipe kit.

Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Blend

JFFD Nutrient Blend is formulated specifically for each recipe to meet NRC RA recommendations. The blend is compounded from 100% human grade nutraceuticals regulated by the FDA.
